Carmie took her first poopie...on the toilet! According to Grandma it was a hysterical event and she was thrilled.

Someone is a little young for this expression. Don't you think?

Indian Summer

It's supposed to be 75 degrees today. I am not sure it is, but regardless, our little rascal is growing leaps and bounds. Mike spent the day outside stacking wood. I helped for a little while until Carmen & I retired ourselves to playing with rocks & sitting on the bench grandpa made- for the rest of the evening.

Here is the gorgeous, sweetest little thing now...and I am not just saying that because she's mine :)

My baby girl. Growing so fast! 15 months!

Carm had her 15 month check up on Friday. She had 4 shots to play catch up, which should finally put her where she needs to be with her vaccines. I think she is going to take after her tall Papa because she came in at 31.5 inches for height which puts in her the 78th percentile! For weight, our little bug came in at the 6th percentile at a whopping 19.10 lbs. She sure is a mini little thing, but the Dr. says not to worry at all. Some kids grow out and she is growing up!

Remembering a time & a place

It was April of 2003 and we were watching the Foo Fighters at Universal Ampitheatre. All the talk in the office today brought me back to that time...and that place. A time of heart-breaking love and personal struggle. A place of beauty and always perfect weather. Those were the days, or weren't they?

Out of breath

I've been on edge. Anxious. Lacking a connection. Maybe it's the weather. The leaves beginning to fall. Winter on the horizon? Something is missing. We're not seeing eye to eye. Somedays we're not the same people I thought we were. Somedays I'm not the person I remember I was.
