Remebering a year ago today

A year ago this time Mike and I were taking his first trip to Los Angeles to live for a week like my old life. Boy it would be great to be back there right now!!

Good News

Savvy IT Guy Stephen, who is my best friend today, was able to save my harddrive and I have all my files & pics on my new (old) MacBook.
My day was made around 10am.

Now what would make my week is...getting out of here early tomorrow so I can finally enjoy some SUN!

Bye Bye Macbook

Very sad. Worked the whole weekend on a shoot in Update New York and at the 60ith hour disaster struck with a big bottle of smart water spilling all over my work computer. Brand new silver Macbook. It shorted out, I took out the battery, cleaned it and let it sit upside down all night. It wont power up & now I am stuck with this oldie. All my photos for the past year are gone and all my files from work.
This blows.I am praying Applecare will b able to power up or at least save my harddrive.

Becoming a Food Blog!!!

We had a long week once we returned from camping. It was Mikes 35th Birthday on Wednesday, we stayed in for a nice dinner and then ran out to get cake & a nightcap. We stopped at a friends house to drop off a music set list...we never made it to the cake. We stayed for hours playing guitar, having drinks, etc. We were out too late and exhausted for the next 2 days. Last night we stayed in, made dinner, watched a movie and vegged. We get really excited about fresh foods, so last night we made porgie that my parents caught only a few hours earlier, with pan friend potatos we took straight from the ground along with squash, eggplant, tomatos & peppers! Here are some shots....

Did I tell you...

We LOVE to cook & eat...These were the dishes we made camping. & by the way this Gouda cheese...$11.00/1/4lb. was the most amazing thing ever!! We had fresh eggs, fresh bacon, fresh milk...I can go on & on!

They were expecting major rain so we moved to a lean-to. We didnt really get more than a drop.

We finally had the opportunity to go camping last weekend. Just getting out of town for a day or two is so exciting! We had the nicest time, just relaxing, reading, eating and sitting in front of the fire. Plus we got to bring Stella along. How nice is that, no worries, no cares. Very needed!

Mondays

The weekend goes by too quickly. I am tired, unmotivated, and would rather be anywhere else in the world than where I am today...and the fact that the sun is FINALLY shining outside is making this day very difficult. Wouldn't it be nice to have some good weather when I can actually enjoy it!!!
