Labor Day Dinner

Another year/ Another Labor Day Weekend

Well its back to the grind! You know, to my surprise I couldnt wait to go back to work this morning! Thats a sign of something good. Although, deep inside I know its because If I had just ONE MORE WEEK off, I would NEVER want to go back to work. The days of course fly by when you have visitors, but otherwise, there is so much more time in the day when you are not working! But then comes the bad part, out of work and spending more money than you are earning. Anyhow, enough about that. My weeks vacation was wonderful and Mary and I had a great time! I am so glad you came for another visit Mar!
We went to the city on Sunday, Alan came along so it was just the 4 of us, but we had a great time. We took the train from Stamford into Grand Central, and there happened to be a Brazilian festival going on on 46th and 6th, so we hit that up until we stopped for drinks on the 2nd floor balcony of Obriens Pub overlooking the street festival. What a blast! & the most amazing empanadas I have ever had, well the first Ive had and the best! From there we went back through the festival, I got some great beads. Turquoise and Amber, large strands & for cheap! I love a bargain~ We went to another place called Utsav and sat outside, then headed up to Central Park, took a lovely walk and then made our way to 25th & 3rd for dinner at Tonic. We sat roof top with a beautiful view of the Empire State Building behind us. Pics from our week....

Marys visit

Mary has arrived in CT for her 3rd visit!! We picked her up at Alans in Stamford on Wednesday night, we went out there and had a blast. Alan is an amzing cook and Mike and Mary havent stopped making fun of me & my appetite. We have done ALOT of eating this trip and I am sure all of us will be going on a diet come labor day, well the day after as we have a picnic to go to!
On Thursday we went out for seafood apps. and drinks and then we spent the night at home, Mike made a white clam sauce. We did some shopping yesterday and then went down to Mikes gig later that night, Mary got a chance to meet everyone and hear the band play, she was very impressed. Another day of shopping this afternoon and we are heading over to my brothers house for dinner tonight. Tomorrow is NYC for the day. Should be a great time! Finally at Noon yesterday I felt like I was actually on Vacation. Mom, Dad & I went out on the boat and it was just a gorgeous day!

Vacation Part 1

Well I have been on vacation and I feel like I am working harder than I do at work!! We finally got to tackle the upstairs computer/guest room as I m picking up Mary tonight!! We got so much done in just 3 days!
